In the wake of Batman v Superman:Dawn of Justice, it’s Suicide Squad’s job to get the DCEU back on track. While Batman v Superman “Yawn” of Justice didn’t sit well with many fans, the majority consensus is Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Batman was the highlight. The Suicide Squad trailer confirmed Batman has a cameo in Suicide Squad , but now test screenings reveal Batman could have a much stronger presence than originally thought.

According to Heroic Hollywood’s Umberto Gonzalez, whose sources had the pleasure of sitting in on a Warner Bros. test screening, The Dark Knight will make more than just an appearance.

“There is a lot more Batman in the movie than they are letting on,” Gonzalez revealed during an episode of Heroic Insider.

So far, we know the plot is simple: Amanda Waller will gather a team of “the worst of the worst” for a crazy ‘suicidal’ mission. Deadshot, Killer Croc, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, and Jared Leto’s Joker will all make their big screen debut.

Earlier rumors from Heroic Hollywood suggest Batman and Amanda Waller filmed an important scene together in Vancouver. Fans predict either Batman was warning Waller about The Joker, or urging her to think twice about assembling Task Force X-The Suicide Squad. The fact any of these villains could go rogue at any time doesn’t sit well with Batman and he’ll probably be watching their every move.

The first trailer set to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and a leaked Instagram video (below) also show flashes of a car chase between Batman and The Joker (and Harley Quinn).

Will Smith and the Suicide Squad cast are bringing new footage to the MTV Movie Awards April 10. Tune in at 8 p.m. for a trailer reportedly cut to Sweet’s “Ballroom Blitz.”

It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Supervillains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5.
