After a long wait, the release date for Bandai Namco’s Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization has been confirmed for Nov. 8 on both PlayStation 4 and digitally for the PS Vita.
The game takes place in the Sword Art Online universe and will bring fans of the anime/light novels into a new world and introduce them to new characters, like Premiere, who will be the focal point of the Hollow Realization story.
Players will take control of Kirito as he leads his friends into Ainground in a new adventure.
In Hollow Realization, players will directly control Kirito but have their party to command and fight monsters with, alongside other people.
Along with the release date announcement, Bandai Namco has revealed the pre-order bonus for those who want to reserve their copy of Hollow Realization.
Pre-ordering the game will give players a special crossover costume with another Bandai Namco series, God Eater. Female characters will be able to don Livie’s wardrobe and male characters will have Soma’s outfit.
In addition to God Eater costumes, a special maid costume and nightwear costume will also be availablefor female characters.
Some of the new mechanics of Hollow Realization includes a new emotion system . The “Emotion Void” is a way to communicate with your party members and check on their emotions.
Depending on how conversations and battles go, each character with have emotional statuses displayed, and these statuses can affect their abilities.
The more you increase each character’s emotions, the more their stats increase. However, emotions can’t grow further than the blue circles, so once you hit the limit you won’t be able to increase that particular emotion any further.
There are also dating scenes where Kirito and another member of the party have private conversations.
