This Tekken 8 tips and tricks guide is for beginner's but can also be for veterans who are looking to get better at mastering their characters and how to win against other players. Steam, Bandai Namco

Tekken 8 is a highly popular fighting game by Bandai Namco that features powerful characters that each have their own unique fighting style.

Getting into the game can be somewhat overwhelming, particularly for those who have watched professional matches of players who can string together combos perfectly.

Fortunately, this guide gives some tips and tricks that will help you master your preferred character faster.

Arcade Quest

One of the best things to do when you're just starting out in Tekken 8 is to go with Arcade Quest, even just a little bit. This mode will have players fighting against various CPU characters and is entirely separate from Story Mode.

In this mode, you are pitted against easier enemies and you get a few rounds where the AI won't go too hard on you. This is a good way to practice and get a feel for your character when you are still in the process of choosing your main, according to Siliconera.

Play Character Episodes

When trying out different characters to see which one you would like to use in the long run, playing their episodes is a good way of getting introduced.

Here, you will be forced to enter a few matches, where you select the difficulty, to try out the various characters available in the game.

Sometimes, getting to know Tekken characters based on their backstories can help players figure out who they want to keep using against other players.

Understand the Hit Levels

Tekken 8 features three hit levels that every player should learn and understand in order to get to a higher level; High, Mid, and Low. High attacks are often quick to execute and usually have a longer range.

On the other hand, Mid attacks are relatively strong and your enemies will have to block while standing in order to not get damaged. If your opponent is crouching and tries to block a Mid attack, they will still get hit, said RedBull.

Lastly, Low attacks are useful in trying to knock your opponent off balance but are less likely to give you an opportunity to get a combo in. You can try to bait your opponent by using a lot of Low attacks and then following up with a Mid attack and into a full combo.

Use the Special Style

Beginners and even some veterans can make use of Special Style, which is a control method that lets you execute full combos with only a single button. This option can be turned on and off mid-match if needed.

Another benefit of this is that you can learn which moves link into one another and which of your character's attacks are best used as a starter for a combo.

Then, when you feel comfortable enough, you can use that information to experiment with your own combos using manual input, according to The Gamer.
