Developer Iron Gate AB's much-beloved open-world survival crafter "Valheim" features several challenging bosses throughout its story, including Yagluth in the Plains.
This particular boss is a massive skeleton that is on fire and has many devastating attacks and mechanics.
Fortunately, there are many things that you can prepare and do that will make the boss fight much more bearable, even taking into account the Deathsquitoes that can appear.
This guide provides a general overview of what you need in order to summon Yagluth in the Plains, as well as how to defeat this gigantic foe. Look through and see which of these apply to you based on your playstyle and preferences.
How To Summon Yagluth
In order to summon Yagluth in "Valheim," you will have to collect and offer up five Fuling Totems at the boss' altar that can be found in various Plains biomes around the map.
These Fuling Totems can be found within Fuling villages or as drops from Fuling Berserkers, according to Polygon.
The good thing about Fuling Totems is that they can be teleported through portals, even on vanilla settings, which makes it easy to get a lot of them for later use.
Before summoning Yagluth, try to make sure that no enemies are left in the vicinity so you can focus on the boss itself.
How To Defeat Yagluth
When you finally get the chance to summon Yagluth, you will come face-to-face with a giant skeleton on fire. Be careful of the boss' melee attack, which is a fist slam with a small area-of-effect.
The boss has a larger area-of-effect attack that will summon a meteor shower that can be dodged by simply running away or hiding under rocks in the area. One thing to keep an eye out for is Yagluth's fists.
When they glow blue, it means that he will use his melee attack, and an orange glow means that he will use his meteor shower. Yagluth also has a ranged attack where he blasts players with a breath of fire, Games Radar said.
Just keep whittling away at the boss to slowly drain his health until you finally deal the final blow. One useful strategy to keep yourself safe while attacking Yagluth is to target his tail and follow it while he tries to spin around and hit you.
Rewards for Defeating Yagluth
After you defeat the Plains boss, you will get access to his forsaken power which gives players resistance to Fire, Frost, and Lightning damage. This makes it the only method of getting the latter in "Valheim," as no other item provides this benefit.
Additionally, the drops that you get from the boss will let you build the Wisp Fountain, which will attract Wisps at night regardless of what biome it is in. These Wisps are considered essential when trying to traverse the Mistlands biome, according to Dual Shockers.
