We finally know the third game that Tilting Point is developing exclusively for Netflix. It’s none other than Vikings: Valhalla, based on the hit series from MGM Television and Netflix, a new strategy game coming out in 2023.
In Vikings: Valhalla, players take on the role of a Viking clan leader and build formidable settlements. As their following grows, they’ll eventually need to wage war along with expanding their influence on the continent. With the balance of power always changing, it’s not enough to have strength but to have cunning and ingenuity as well.
The show Vikings first premiered in March 2013 and lasted for six seasons which concluded in December 2020. Vikings: Valhalla is a sequel series that made its debut on Netflix in February 2022.
In a statement, Tilting Point Founder and Co-CEO Kevin Segalla shared that the Vikings franchise was the perfect IP to use and come up with a strategy game. He added that they’re excited to provide a rich and rewarding game experience for Netflix subscribers.
It was in September 2022 when Tilting Point revealed that it was launching three mobile games on Netflix, all free without ads or in-app purchases. The first title was the hilarious culinary adventure SpongeBob: Get Cooking, based on the characters from Nickelodeon. The second was Narcos: Cartel Wars Unlimited, based on the Netflix series from Gaumont. At that time, the only details revealed for the third game was that it was based on a Netflix series and to be made in partnership with Emerald City Games
Netflix Games
While most people associate Netflix with streaming movies and TV shows, the company has actually started to delve into mobile gaming. - Card Blast (Amuzo & Rogue Games)
