Negan revealed he knew what Rick was planning in The Walking Dead Season 7 episode 15. It probably came as a surprise to viewers, but we’re not so shocked. It’s clear where the inside information is coming from, as least to us.

Negan’s mole is from the Junkyard community. Here’s why. The easiest people to blame are Gregory and Eugene. Both are cowards who are only interested in saving their own asses. However, both are cowards . Gregory is too scared to find out what Negan would do if he found out he was working with Rick. Eugene wouldn’t want Negan to hurt anyone in Alexandria, so he wouldn’t say anything either.
This brings us to the remaining The Walking Dead communities: The Kingdom, Oceanside and the Junkyard. Oceanside is currently hiding from Negan and wouldn’t risk revealing their whereabouts. We wouldn’t be surprised if some members left Oceanside to fight Negan’s army, but they wouldn’t have any contact with Sanctuary. The next community is The Kingdom. Only a select group of people know about their deal with Negan. The people are also loyal to King Ezekiel and wouldn’t do anything against him.

This leaves the Junkyard. We know next to nothing about this new The Walking Dead group. Rick assumed they didn’t know about Negan’s community, but they could very well be an extension of Sanctuary. These people could be Negan’s real army, who he’s chosen to protect Sanctuary. The other option is the leader of the Junkyard wasn’t happy with Rick’s deal, but saw an opportunity to get more supplies they needed. The people from the Junkyard work in the shadows, so we wouldn’t be surprised if they found the Sanctuary like they found Alexandria.
It’s the only option that makes sense. Do you think Negan and the Junkyard community are working together? Let us know in the comments below. The Walking Dead Season 7 finale will air Sunday, April 2 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
