Daryl might finally address his feelings about Glenn’s death with the one person we’ve wanted him to discuss it with since The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere.
No, we’re not talking about Carol. It looks like Daryl will finally have the Glenn talk with Maggie.
The Spoiling Dead Fans (via Moviefone ) recently shared a breakdown of The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 14, "The Other Side.” This episode will take place at the Hilltop as Maggie trains the community to fight. Carol will reportedly visit the community to help teach people how to use knives.
At one point the Hilltop will reportedly have a visit from the Saviors, which forces Maggie and Daryl to hide together. WARNING: Stop reading now if you don’t want to spoil the encounter. This is what might happen will Daryl and Maggie, according to TSDF:
“Yes, they have a pretty emotional talk while they're hiding in the cellar from the Saviors. Daryl starts to cry and says it was his fault. Maggie says it wasn't and that Glenn thought Daryl was one of the good things in this world. And Glenn would know because he was one of the good things too. Maggie then hugs Daryl.”
Daryl definitely needs that. He let himself suffer under Negan’s captivity because he didn’t think he deserved to live. Daryl’s outburst after Abraham’s death led to Glenn getting Negan’s bat. Daryl obviously knew Maggie was pregnant and that added to his guilt. Maggie’s child lost his father because of him.
It sounds like Maggie is being pretty selfless in the scene. Maggie could blame Daryl, but she won’t. Her anger is directed towards Negan. She doesn’t want Negan to harm anyone else she loves. We doubt we’ll see Maggie in the front lines fighting with Rick; it’s too big of a risk to her unborn child. However, Maggie’s leadership skills will raise the morale of the Hilltop community and help them be confident during the battles to come.
