For those who weren't lucky enough to watch Deadpool in theaters, you're in for a treat. Deadpool’ s digital release date has been moved up! We’ve been patiently waiting for the Blu-ray release May 10, but you’ll be able to snag a digital copy of Ryan Reynolds’ hit Marvel flick tomorrow, April 26.
I know I’m not the only one who guiltily attempted to struggle through a half-ass rip of Deadpool with hardcoded Korean subs. Pre-order now for $15 on iTunes or Amazon Video to enjoy a crisp, HD, A/V 10/10 version of Wade Wilson’s solo debut. (Oh let’s be honest, most of us are just going to wait another day for a 1080p HD copy with a soft sub track.) It’s unclear if Deadpool will be available to rent on iTunes or Amazon for a cheaper price.
Of course, Wade Wilson’s message was riddled with a dirty joke, “I’m coming early. This doesn't usually happen to me. #yesitdoes,” Ryan Reynold’s Tweet says.
If you’ve already seen Deadpool, the digital HD release isn’t very exciting. However, the Blu-Ray & DVD release has something more to offer. Look forward to deleted/extended scenes, commentary from Ryan Reynolds, Writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, Director Tim Miller, and Co-creator Rob Liefield. There’s one last special feature included, although I’m not sure if I want to know what’s in Deadpool’s “Fun Sack [of balls]”....
Fox officially confirmed Deadpool 2 is on the way earlier this month. Ryan Reynolds, Tim Miller, and the original writers will all return for the sequel starring Cable. Marvel hasn’t confirmed a release date, but as of now, it’s looking like Deadpool 2 will fill one of two open calendar slots with a Oct. 2017 or Jan. 2018 release date.
