World of Warcraft has received a new hotfix recently and included a buff to the Druid’s Protector of the Pack, which might make it a bit more viable now.
For those who don’t know, Protector of the Pack is a Druid talent that provides a boost to Regrowth’s healing effectiveness or the damage done by the Moonfire spell depending on the specialization. For example, if you have a Restoration Druid, this talent will store 5% of your effective healing up to a certain point. After which, the next Moonfire you cast consumes all stored healing to increase its damage dealt.
That said, the World of Warcraft dev team has previously nerfed the talent by only granting the bonuses specifically stated on the tooltip. This means that Protector of the Pack no longer gains extra benefits from various modifiers on the Druid. However, this made the talent a lot weaker than what the developers had intended. Because of this, the healing bonus to Regrowth and the damage bonus to Moonfire have increased by 60% in this update.
Aside from that, another major change in this hotfix is that the holiday requirement for many holiday transmog rewards has been removed. This basically means that you can now use your favorite transmogs any time of the year. Want to use a Christmas outfit on Valentine’s Day? Now you can!
