The newest expansion for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has finally arrived with a lot of new things that everyone can enjoy. This 25th Anniversary DLC is dubbed the Experimental Aircraft Series as it introduces three planes. There are also new skins along with new emblems.
Starting with the new emblems, a total of 10 are added which are:
- Four types of Nuggets emblems to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Ace Combat series.
- Six types of series emblems, such as “Albireo” and “Beast.”
As mentioned, the new DLC brings to the game three cutting-edge combat aircraft which are:
- Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (F–15 S/MTD Set)
- Playable Aircraft:
- F-15 S/MTD
- Description:
- This new and improved experimental F-15 is equipped with 2D thrust vectoring nozzles and large canards for increased air combat maneuverability.
- This aircraft can equip the HPAA, FAEB, or HVAA as special weapons.
- Has seven skins including the special "Sorcerer" skin.
- Playable Aircraft:
- Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (F–16XL Set)

- F-16XL
- Description:
- A prototype bomber based on the F-16.
- This aircraft can equip the UGB, 4AAM, or 4AGM as special weapons.
- Has seven skins including the special "Wizard" skin.

- Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (F–22 Strike Raptor Set)
- Playable Aircraft:
- FB-22 Strike Raptor
- Description:
- A stealth fighter based on the F-22 with improved explosive firepower.
- This aircraft can equip the XSDB, LAAM, or SFFS as special weapons.
- Has seven skins including the special "Flash" skin.

In Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, players get the chance to experience what it means to be an ace pilot and fly through photorealistic skies that offer full 360-degree movement. Those looking for that adrenaline rush can engage in realistic aerial combat and take down enemy aircraft.
The game was initially released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with the PC version launched a little later. It features VR support, however, some missions are specified for the PlayStation VR headset.
