The Adeptus Mechanicus officially makes its presence felt in Warhammer 40,000: Gladius. This is the ninth DLC to arrive in the game and has players try to conquer Gladius Prime with this new faction. It’s currently being offered at 10% off on Steam and Slitherine.
The Adeptus Mechanicus is actually an empire that exists within the Imperium. It has its own fanatical purpose which is to rediscover ancient and powerful technologies and do it in the name of the Omnissiah. Responsible for supplying the Imperium with technical and scientific expertise, it has its very own elite armies composed of bionically-augmented soldiers and weapons of war. It's not afraid to annihilate those who stand in the way, be it Xenos or man.
Here are some of the game mechanics that players can expect with this new DLC:
- Canticles of the Omnissiah
- Chant Mechanicus hymns to enhance units and increase their power with every praying warrior.
- Doctrina Imperatives
- Override Skitarii subroutines to amplify some of the combat aspects while also lowering others.
- Hive Cities
- Place more buildings per tile by using the faction’s ability to create layered constructions made of rockcrete and adamantium.
- Monolithic Buildings
- Increased output of buildings of the same type on a tile.
- Decreased output of buildings of differing types on a tile.
- Power Surge
- Increase the output of buildings on a tile through forceful intensity.
- Enslaved to the Past
- Increased research cost.
- The ability to innovate has long been lost and replaced with a reverence for the times when Humanity was the architect of its own destiny.
- Reprogram Kastelan Robot
- Capture enemy Kastelan Robots with Cybernetica Datasmiths’ programming rituals.
- Bionics
- Adeptus Mechanicus units have high damage resistances.
- Artificial limbs are more durable than their biological counterparts.
- Adjacency Integration
- Adeptus Mechanicus upgrades increase building output with each adjacent building.
