505 Games has dropped an absolutely stunning trailer for Adr1ft . The first-person adventure game launches on Oculus Rift VR and Steam March 28. According to Three One Zero founding developer and game creator, Adam Orth, Adr1ft will release for Playstation 4 and Xbox One “shortly after.”

Adr1ft , an immersive first-person experience (FPX), allows the player to follow the path of a lone astronaut living among the debris of his space station after a cataclysmic event had killed everyone on board. With a damaged space suit and limited oxygen, the player must find a way to survive as well as figure out the cause of the critical disaster. Stay alive by searching for life-saving resources, like oxygen, but use them wisely. The main goal is not just to survive, but to also repair the space station’s emergency pod to get home.

“I’ve wanted to publish ADR1FT from the moment I first saw it at DICE; we’re looking forward to working with Three One Zero to deliver a bold new gaming experience to all types of players,” said 505 Games president Ian Howe.

CNET’s Jeff Bakalar said Adr1ft “got me to believe in VR.” Other early reviews describe the game as mesmerizing and breathtaking. iDigitaltimes’ own Bob Fekete had a chance to demo Adr1ft last year. Read about his hands-on experience for more details on gameplay.
