Along with The Gods: Knights of Dawn has officially been released to the Google Play Store. The game is being launched by PlayDapp, a blockchain game service platform. This strategic RPG has players set up their own team of heroes that offer five unique power types. There are more than 100 different heroes for players to choose from, which should allow for a lot of interesting strategies.
In addition to the heroes already having abilities, there are also rune sets which can be combined in order to enhance these abilities. There are also going to be different combat modes for players to enjoy like Hero Dungeons, Boss Raids, PVP, and even Guild Battles, to name a few.
To celebrate the official launch of Along with the Gods, PlayDapp announced that it’s going to be releasing coupons to all users, both new and existing. These coupons are also going to become better and more valuable as the community grows. During the three weeks after launch, players can unlock rewards depending on how many new subscribers join the Along with the Gods community as well as shares on Twitter. Rewards include Character Level boost items and Water/Fire/Earth Hero Scrolls. Then there are the powerful game items like legend, ancient, and mythical hero contracts.
PlayDapp announced that in the future, it plans to introduce an update which combines blockchain technology known as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) to a specific item in the game in order to offer digital assetization of game items. If you’re not familiar, NFT is a standard blockchain technology which assigns values to the tradability, ownership, and scarcity of game items.
Players can get NFT items using a blackchain game which uses NFT technology, and at the same time take ownership of the items earned through playing. Players can also realize the value from their items by selling and buying the NFT items using the global-user based C2C Marketplace known as PlayDapp MarketPlace.
In a statement, PlayDapp General Manager Choi Sung-won said that use of games has increased worldwide as a result of indoor activities increasing due to the pandemic. He went on to say that “game developers and distributors used to be the main ones to benefit from game sales in the past,” but with this new blockchain technology, “game users can benefit too.” He added that they “have high expectations for the future of the PlayDapp service.”
