It’s Amazon Prime Day, which means tons of deals on thousands of items across Amazon. While we’ve already covered things like PS4 games, Switch games, gaming laptops and even UHD Blu-Ray movies, it’s time to go analog as we highlight some of the best board game deals with Amazon Prime Day.
Disney Villainous
Disney Villainous allows players to break away from being the good guy and really embrace their evil side. Up to six players can take on the role of some of Disney’s most iconic villains, including Ursula, Jafar, Captain Hook, and more. Interestingly, the game features asymmetrical gameplay, meaning players are more or less racing to complete their own goals instead of competing over one shared goal.
Jumanji: The Game
You’ve seen the movie, so now it’s time to experience the game of Jumanji all for yourself. There’s no better time than now with an Amazon Prime Day sale going on and the new Jumanji movie releasing in December. While the game itself is somewhat simple, and doesn’t suck you into a horror-filled world of wild animals and deadly hunters, it’s still a fun experience to live out the action of the movies in your living room.
Betrayal At House On The Hill
Few things need to be said about Betrayal at House on the Hill that haven’t already been mentioned by board gamers worldwide, but this modern classic is a great way to dip your toes into the wider world of board games beyond the classics. Players start on one team, exploring the mysteries of an abandoned mansion, until something happens that causes the game to plunge into chaos.
Codenames
If you are throwing a party, Codenames is the perfect accessory for the night. This game is easy to learn, works with groups of any size, is competitive, and gets your brain working in overtime. It’s one of the best games I’ve played in the past few years, and cannot recommend it enough.
Guess Who?
Let’s take a trip back to yesteryear with the classic board game Guess Who? While some of the art may be updated from the version you played as a kid, the same rules still apply. Players ask questions to figure out what character their opponent is keeping secret. The first to solve the mystery is the winner.
Ticket To Ride
Another great gateway game into the modern board gaming scene, Ticket To Ride is easy to learn, with deep enough gameplay to keep players coming back again and again. If you’ve ever wanted to control a train empire across the United States, now’s the perfect time to pick up a copy of Ticket To Ride.
Exploding Kittens
This beginner card game started out as a humble Kickstarter, but has quickly become a staple at parties all over. For two to five players, Exploding Kittens features artwork from popular webcomic author and illustrator The Oatmeal.
The Game Of Life
The classic board games are classics for a reason. If you want to introduce The Game of Life to a young one in your life, or relive the gaming memories you had growing up, now’s a great time to pick up a copy.
DropMix
DropMix is such a cool blend of traditional card game and music video game. If you already have a DropMix board, but want to expand your selection of cards and songs to play around with, make sure you pick up this playlist pack with 16 bonus cards.
Super Mario Match Game
Want to get a young gamer to put down the controller and pick up a board game instead? Try out the Super Mario Match Game. This game has players competing to pair five of the same character in a row, column, or diagonally on the board. All your favorites from the Mario franchise are here too, including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario and Toad.
Playing Cards
Talk about old-school! This Amazon Prime Day deal on decks of cards allows you to play hundreds of different games. Or, if you’re like me, you can use all these cards to hone your sweet close-up magic skills.
