Anxious fans have gotten several hints that production for American Horror Story Season 6 is already underway, though showrunners have yet to divulge any information. However, On Location Vacations claims f the horror anthology is currently filming in Los Angeles.
Sources told the film blog that a scene set in a hospital or nursing home was being filmed for American Horror Story at Fox studios in Los Angeles on Thursday. The source was unable to give further details, so this is as much as we know about Season 6. Several actors confirmed for the show insist they don’t know anything about the season’s theme or even anything about their characters.
AHS Executive Producer Ryan Murphy has also been very secretive about Season 6 details. He has only hinted, months ago, that the Season may navigate two themes and involve the trope of children.
AHS star Evan Peters told People that filming for Season 6 would begin June 7, while Coven alumni Leslie Jordan told the Washington Blade he would film with Lady Gaga July 7. If true, it would make sense for filming to be currently going on given the suggested timeline. However, the lack of information about the upcoming show is unusual.
Unlike prior seasons, there have been few credible information leaks about the show, or teasers from actors or producers. Often when shows are filming, images of the actors in their costumes might surface. The actors themselves often share pictures of their script covers on social media. None of this has happened for American Horror Story Season 6 so far.
Reported indicated Twentieth Century Fox Television and FX planned to reveal American Horror Story Season 6 and its theme on June 13 at the For Your Consideration Emmy Event ; however, the studios decided to cancel following the shooting in Orlando on June 12. There is no word on whether the event will be rescheduled.
On June 9, profile images on several American Horror Story social media channels went black , making fans believe the Season 6 theme would soon be announced. However, the images remain black with no further details about the season.
Recently, many fans also proposed the theme of American Horror Story Season 6 could be Apocalypse. However, it is possible they have gotten confused due to Peters promoting his roles in American Horror Story and X-Men: Apocalypse at the same time.
