The New World Rising DLC for Anno 1800 is now available, the final DLC of the game’s fourth post-launch season. Players can look forward to an economic and industrial boom along with a new population tier, new trade-focused scenario mission, and even new islands to expand to.
New World Rising is available as part of the Season 4 Pass. Those who don’t have the pass can buy it on PC through the Ubisoft Store, the Epic Games Store, and Steam.
New Content
To access New World Rising, players need to have 1,000 Obreros in their New World Session. Get ready to see more islands added like Mānola, the largest that comes with its own special questline which is to build a hydroelectric dam. There are also new buildings, new emergency services upgrades, and even the ability to build the Grand Stadium monument that can host soccer tournaments.
Another new in the game is the Artistas, the highly demanding new population tier who bring electricity and new production chains. Next, is the new scenario mission Pride and Peddlers that puts players in the role of Madame Kahina as they learn more about her past. The mission is all about trading and exports as Kahina does everything she can to save New World relics as well as discover lost treasures in the southern sea.
Cosmetic DLC and Free Update
New World Rising arrives in the game along with the Old Town Pack Cosmetic DLC. In this one, players get the chance to restyle their buildings using a medieval look that brings to mind earlier Anno games.
There’s also a free update which introduces players to a reworked construction menu. Players should be happy to know that they can now select and move multiple structures at once. Of course, there’s a New World map pool and the usual quality-of-life improvements.
The city-building real-time strategy game Anno 1800 is the seventh game in the Anno franchise released in 2019. The game brings back the series to a historical setting but it takes place during the Industrial Revolution. While it has the city-building and ocean combat mechanics like in the previous games, it introduces new gameplay mechanics like tourism, blueprinting, and industrialization that affects the inhabitants of the island.
