A month after the Japanese trailers for ARMS were released, showcasing the different characters and weapons of the fighting game, Nintendo of America finally released English versions of the trailers that explain the differences between characters and weapons.

The ARMS Character Introduction video puts the first five fighters under the spotlight as each character has special skills and ways to fight.

Check out the ARMS character spotlight below.

Springman is the first character and poster boy for ARMS . He’s a balanced fighter who can unleash a shockwave that blocks enemy attacks, which can be followed up with a hit to counter. When Springman’s health drops to a quarter of his max HP, he remains in charge mode, which allows him to dish out more damage for every hit.

Ribbon Girl can float around with multiple jumps to dodge attacks. She can also quick drop to get the jump on her opponent.

Ninjara can perform mid-air dashes while teleporting, but can also teleport by guarding, making this fighter hard to hit.

Master Mummy doesn’t get staggered much when taking hits from enemies during his attacks, jumps and dashes. Master Mummy can also heal while guarding.

Mechanica can hover for a period of time and can overwhelm enemies from above. Similar to Master Mummy, she also doesn’t stagger when taking hits during attacks, jumps and dashes.

The second trailer showcases the different weapons you can equip to your ARMS character.

The Toaster lets your fighter charge it up while guarding. If it hits while charged, it’ll perform an automatic knockdown and major damage.

Megaton will knock away enemy punches when charged, taking advantage of its size. Sparky will stun after it’s charged, allowing for your ARMS fighter to go in for the throw.

Boomerang has a larger arc than other weapons and is perfect to get around stage obstacles. Charging up this weapon will blow enemies away in a small tornado.

Revolver is like the Sparky and can stun opponents when charged. It’s faster than Sparky so use that to your advantage but beware, it’s easy to deflect. Slapamander is another wide-arcing weapon that can be charged up to inflict fire damage.

Players can also mix and match the weapons to add another layer of strategy to fights.

ARMS will release for the Nintendo Switch Spring 2017.
