Arrow Executive Producer Wendy Mericle may have already teased a few deaths when she described the Arrow Season finale as "pretty grim" and "sad.” During a recent interview with Larry King, Stephen Amell decided to take speculation a step further. After he was asked to summarize the episode in three words, the Green Arrow himself said, “Where’d everybody go?”
Team Arrow attempted to overpower Damien Darhk in the last episode, “Genesis,” but at least now they know the villain’s plans to end the world isn’t all talk. In Season 4 episode 21, Felicity’s father, Noah Kuttler (aka The Calculator) returns. Darhk is looking to take down Felicity, and The Calc will have a heart to heart convo with Arrow that leaves him ‘rattled.’
The Black Canary is gone (RIP). To even think The CW plans on killing off another potentially beloved character is heart wrenching. We’ve played the death guessing games many many times in the last four seasons. Black Canary’s final fate came as a surprise to most fans (who were actually hoping it would be Felicity in that grave). If a member of Team Arrow dies, it’s anyone’s guess who.
The season finale synopsis teases a ‘surprising force’ will be joining Team Arrow against Darhk. I’d love for it to be Malcolm Merlyn, who would do anything/ turn on anyone to protect his daughter, Thea. Just imagine the epic fight scenes that would bring-- Arrow/ex-Ra's al Ghul, the show’s best combatants, fighting side by side to save the world. This is just my wishful thinking that Malcolm would even think of joining Team Arrow, when in fact, he’s shown trying to convince Thea to join Darhk in the trailer for the next episode, “Monument Point.”
Can Arrow save the world in time without losing a teammate in the process? The Arrow Season 4 finale titled "Schism," airs Wednesday, May 25 at 8 p.m.
