It was back in November 2007 when Assassin’s Creed was first launched and introduced players to the world of Altaïr, the Assassin Brotherhood, and the Templar Order. Since then, it has grown into a franchise with 29 titles along with a global community of players. To commemorate 15 years of Assassin’s Creed, there’s going to be a celebration dubbed AC15. It will focus on where the series started, where it is right now, and where it is heading.
The celebration starts off with the 85% discount on Assassin’s Creed Origins from June 16 to July 10. There’s also a free weekend from June 16 to June 20.
Livestream with the Team
Ubisoft News will stream one Assassin’s Creed game each Thursday beginning June 23. Fans can watch it on the official Ubisoft Twitch channel from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET. During the stream, the team is set to highlight a different game starting with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and then move through the series in reverse chronological order. Fans can also look forward to some giveaways during these livestreams.
Valhalla Update
Players of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla should be happy to know that the game is getting a second year of free post-launch support. These include new content updates and returning festivals, while some have been added already to the game like the Armory upgrade for Ravensthorpe, Mastery Pack 2, and Ostara Festival.
There are also Assassin’s Creed Origins-inspired tattoos and naval packs arriving in the game. New tombs will be available and are set to conclude the mystery behind the Tombs of the Fallen, coming this fall. The adventure in the Forgotten Saga continues into Norse mythology and gives players the chance to go deeper into Niflheim through a roguelite-inspired free game mode. Finally, Eivor’s final chapter is scheduled to be launched at the end of the year.
Discovery Tour
For those who want to experience the game without the need to fight, it’s possible with Discovery Tour: Viking Age. It’s an immersive experience inspired by Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and features eight narrative-driven quests that highlight historical figures aimed at teaching players about Norse and Anglo-Saxon history and culture firsthand.
It’s now in the Ubisoft Store as a standalone edition and available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
Excited about this year’s celebration?
