Charlize Theron takes on the role of a deadly, seductive British spy in Atomic Blonde, and a new red-band trailer sees her engaging in brutal hand-to-hand combat and putting the moves on a French hottie.
Director David Leitch (John Wick, Deadpool 2) based the upcoming summer spy movie on Sam Hart’s acclaimed graphic novel, The Coldest City . Set in 1989, the action centers around the hunt for a dossier that could reveal the identities of every spy currently stationed in Berlin. Hey, a legit Cold War-era spy movie? Sign us up! When they cast the new James Bond, we hope they put him in a time machine and send 007 straight back to the sixties, too.

Theron stars as Agent Lorraine Broughton, the most lethal assassin in the British Secret Service. After the death of an old flame, Lorraine is tasked with delivering that valuable set of documents to a contact in Berlin, with a little help from the local station bureau chief, played by James McAvoy.
You can check out the trailer below, (but maybe wait for later if you’re at work).
Atomic Blonde also stars James McAvoy, John Goodman, Sofia Boutella, Til Schweiger, Eddie Marsan and Toby Jones, and debut at SXSW March 12. It opens in wider release July 28.
