In addition, new shadow settings have been implemented. Players who set shadows to "Low" or Medium" preset will get a noticeable performance improvement while maintaining decent visual fidelity.
Some gameplay changes have been implemented as well. The projectiles of the Arachnid Boss, for example, now leave an acid stain that damages and slows players down if they walk through it.
The hostage AI also received some noteworthy improvements. Hostages will now stick very closely to their rescuers, so players won’t have to waste valuable time waiting for them to get closer.
This update reworks Populist Factions as well. Vassals that are directly affected by a Populist Revolt will now get a demand letter. They can also choose how to respond to the revolt leader's demand.
Over 100 unique new experiences have been added that allow players to see how the people they're closest to in the game will react based on certain events.
The new Cookery has been added as well. This is where players can prepare and cook their meals, including the Rotten Meat Slurry, which can be used for taming Gnats.
The British 1st Armoured Division boasts impressive tanks, while the French 5e Division Blindée is more balanced, thanks to the versatility of its units.
Creative Mode has also been added for Sandbox games. This mode allows players to enable/disable a bunch of settings to make the game more suited to their preferences.
An upcoming patch will also feature the Warship Strike mini-game where players can earn Strike Passes and Festive Coins that can be exchanged for various rewards.
The new Captain Stash Voyages are not cheap, but players have a chance to get tons of good loot, including resource crates, tridents, and even the Ashen Winds Skull.
