Bungie has made a relatively small blog post for Destiny 2 this week, but the company did reveal some interesting information. Read further to learn more.
Dares of Eternity Weapon Crafting
You can now shape your own Dares of Eternity weapons in Season of the Plunder. All you have to do is acquire the necessary weapon Patterns. If you don’t have them yet, don’t worry. You are guaranteed a Deepsight weapon once a week by completing the Dares of Eternity weekly pinnacle challenge. You can acquire almost all patterns this way except for the Other Half Legendary Sword. Bungie wants you to feel that you’ve truly “earned” this sword, considering how rare it is.
Here are the following Dares of Eternity weapons that you can shape as soon as you’ve unlocked weapon crafting in The Witch Queen:
- BxR-55 Battler
- Wastelander M5
- Half-Truths
- The Other Half
- Pardon Our Dust
- Retraced Path
For those who don’t know, “shaping” in Destiny 2 is its version of weapon crafting. You can basically craft a weapon from scratch, so long as you have the right weapon pattern unlocked.

Bungie also revealed the things that you will get if you purchase the Destiny 2: Lightfall Collector’s Edition. Aside from a code that will unlock the Lightfall expansion and Annual Pass, you’ll also receive an eight-inch Pouka replica, complete with LED lights and a stand. On top of that, you can get up to speed with the latest story in Destiny 2 with some Vanguard lore books and a letter from Commander Zavala himself.

Resolved Issues
Bungie will be releasing Hotfix 6.2.0.3 next week to resolve the following issues:
- Viewing the Vallhund Exotic ornament in the Eververse menu will no longer incorrectly tell players who own The Sixth Coyote that they do not own the Exotic armor piece.
- The Charged Melee keybinding no longer functions inconsistently with the Titan Thunderclap melee when in close range of enemies.
- Stormtrance now correctly increases its damage over time when attacking.
PS5 users may have noticed that the 120Hz output option in Crucible is currently unavailable due to an issue. Although Bungie did not say anything about the particular issue in question, this will be re-enabled in a future update.
One last thing, the pinnacle PvP event Trials of Osiris is coming back next week. Are you ready for the next battle?
Destiny 2 is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
