Nintendo came to the 2017 Game Awards with a handful of awesome trailers, including one announcing of a brand new installment of the Bayonetta series, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
Bayonetta 3's short teaser trailer showed our favorite umbral witch (in her OG Bayonetta outfit) fighting something and trying to shoot it down, but this being easily dispatches the titular character and even seemingly kills her.

Nintendo didn't specify a release date (not even a release year) but wanted to let the fans know this game was in development exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. This will be the second Bayonetta game to be a Nintendo exclusive.
This is the same type of teaser the company showed at E3 2017, when Metroid Prime 4 was announced.
In other Bayonetta news, Nintendo announced the first two games as ports for the Switch. Bayonetta 2 will become available for the console, with the first game offered as a free download when you buy the sequel.
Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 will be available for Nintendo Switch Feb. 16, 2018.
