Bayonetta 3 is one of Nintendo’s next big Switch games but a new rumor puts the title’s release sometime in 2018.
User _darth_solo over on the Nintendo Switch subreddit explained his findings through a source stating: “I cannot personally reveal my source, but I have it on good authority from a reliable source that Bayonetta 3 will be released this year, maybe this summer. It will not be released later than 2018 barring a disaster.”
This user goes on to say he has spoken with the subreddit’s mods and was given permission to post. He said fans should watch the Nintendo Direct (which has been rumored for Jan. 11) for more details.
As with many rumors, this information on a possible Bayonetta 3 release date isn’t confirmed until Nintendo makes a statement but as many users have pointed out, the re-release of Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 for the Nintendo Switch in early 2018 makes the third installment release in the same year seem plausible.
During the 2017 Game Awards, back in early December, Nintendo had a few announcements including the Champion’s Ballad DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the aforementioned re-releases of both Bayonetta games and the announcement of Bayonetta 3 with its own teaser.
The teaser stated that Bayonetta 3 will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch and showed our favorite umbral witch (in her first Bayonetta outfit) fighting something, but is eventually taken out.
Will Bayonetta 3 star another character? There’s a lot fans don’t know about the upcoming title but if the Jan. 11 Nintendo Direct is true, fans won’t have to wait long to get more information.
Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 will release for Nintendo Switch on Feb. 16.
