On Friday, February 3, Supercell will kick off another exciting challenge event, the Battle Ram Challenge. In this event, players will have the opportunity to win the upcoming rare Battle Ram card before its official February 10 release.
Over the last several months, Supercell has made challenges a regular part of the Clash Royale gameplay, each coming with its own special twist. For Free-to-Play players, the Battle Ram Challenge should prove to be particularly enjoyable as it not only offers the opportunity to win a rare and unreleased card, it also allows players to use cards that they may not have unlocked yet.
The Battle Ram challenge kicks off in less than a day and so for those aiming to win the new card, we’ve compiled a list of everything you need to know about the challenge along with strategies, tips and best decks offered by experienced Clash Royale players as they become available. 'Clash Royale' Battle Ram Challenge: Everything You Need To Know About The Card And Challenge
About The Battle Ram
- The Battle Ram will be unlocked from the Builder's Workshop (Arena 6) starting February 10, but players can win the card during the Battle Ram challenge that runs over the weekend of February 3.
- The Battle Ram is a single-target, melee troop with both moderate hitpoints and damage. It targets buildings over other units.
- Like a Prince or Dark Prince, the Battle Ram charges towards a target, and deals double damage if it hits its target while charging.
- Once the Battle Ram has hit a target or loses all its hit points, it breaks apart and out jump Barbarians who deal damage as well.
- A Battle Ram card costs 4 Elixir to deploy and is a rare card.
Battle Ram Challenge Rules
- The Battle Ram Challenge begins Friday, February 3 and will last for three days.
- The Challenge comes in a Classic and Grad Challenge version.
- The first entry to a Classic challenge is free, but subsequent challenges are 10 gems if you choose to try again.
- The Grand Challenge costs 100 gems every time you enter.
- You can lose up to three games before your challenge ends.
- If you manage to win 5 games in Classic mode, you will win one Battle Ram card. In Grand Challenge mode you win 10 cards after 5 wins.
- If you manage to win 12 or more games in the Battle Ram Challenge, you win the grand prize and of course and 5 or 50 Battle Ram cards, for Classic and Grand challenges respectively. The complete breakdown of cards won at each challenge level can be found below.
- For both the Grand and Classic Challenge, players can pick any cards they want for their deck – including cards they don’t yet own. The deck must include a Battle Ram card.
- The Battle Ram Challenge will be played with Friendly Battle rules, meaning King Tower is level 9, and all cards are leveled as follows: Common = 9, Rare = 7, Epic = 4, Legendary = 1
- Players can enter the Battle Ram Challenge as many times as they want.

Other Battle Ram Challenge Deck Building Tips
- Prepare to Defend Against Battle Ram – everyone in the Challenge will be running the Battle Ram, so you need to have good cards in your deck that can combat it, and preferably cards that yield you a positive elixir trade. A few cards that could stop the Battle Ram’s charge are: Zap – Log – Electro-Wizard – Lightening – Ice Sprite – Freeze – Any Defensive Building.
- In addition, here are three suggested combos that could shut down the Battle Ram with positive elixir advantage.
- Tombstone - “ If you want to try out the Grand Challenge, I recommend using Tombstone, it absolutely wrecks the Battle Ram and gives a one elixir advantage. The Ram will charge into the Tombstone, breaking it. With the help of your Arena Towers, the spawned skeletons will bring down the 2 Barbarians. Even if they Zap, the Barbarians will still go down.
