There’s finally a firm launch date for Blackwood Crossing, the narrative-focused adventure game introduced last November, and developer PaperSeven studio says we’re already less than a month away from the Blackwood Crossing release date.
Blackwood Crossing is a game about two orphans, Finn and Scarlett, who wind up on a moving train with no recollection of how they ended up in there. Players fill the role of Scarlett, eldest of the two siblings, and must guide the tandem through “a magical voyage, steeped in life, love and loss.” PaperSeven isn’t saying all that much more about the game, in an attempt to preserve as much mystery as possible, but a description on the game’s Steam page suggests Scarlett will discover a supernatural ability (maybe several) of her own.
To say we’ve been anxious to get our hands on the game would be an understatement. Despite telling different stories, and being created by different studios, Blackwood Crossing immediately feels reminiscent of games like Life Is Strange. And we were big fans of Chloe and Max’s story here at iDigi. And the good news, for those who share our fervor, is that we won’t have to wait much longer to see Blackwood Crossing in its entirety. PaperSeven Studios says the game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in early April. And it’ll only be $15.99 at launch.

Then let us know if you’re planning to check out Blackwood Crossing when the game hits PC and consoles early next month.
Blackwood Crossing is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game hits PS4 on April 4 and makes the jump to Xbox and Steam one day later (Apr. 5).
