If only I had a dollar for every time I heard a rumor about Bloodborne, I'd be rich. The critically acclaimed PlayStation 4 game was released back in 2015 and is known as one of the best games of all time. That’s one of many reasons fans want the game to get a proper PS5 or a PC port. Their wish may come true very soon.
The most recent rumor about Bloodborne suggests that a remastered version of the game is currently in development. The remaster will be released exclusively for PlayStation 5 in late January or early February. A PC version will also be released after 6 to 12 months.
The remaster will be sold as Bloodborne Hunter’s Edition and it will not feature any new levels. However, Cathedral Ward and Cainhurst Castle will be expanded compared to the original game. A total of six new weapons will be added, three of them will be right-handed and the other three will be left-handed.
Right-handed weapons:
- The cainhurst flail
- The coldblood coil
- The Kos placenta
Left-handed weapons:
- The cosmic revolver
- The impact rifle
- The great one's touch
The remaster will bring several other improvements like better lip-syncing, reduced loading time, colorblind filters, and re-mappable controls.
For PS5, the game will feature two modes. The quality mode will run the game at 30 FPS at native 4K with ray-traced shadows. The performance mode will run the game at 60 FPS at upscaled 4K with low-quality ray-traced shadows. The PC version will be capped at 60 FPS as well.
Keep in mind that all of these are just rumors so take it with a grain of salt. Also, there have been several rumors in the past that suggested Bloodborne remaster and have not been proven yet. However, this leak came from Demonite, the same leaker that revealed the original Bloodborne, and so these might not be a fool’s dream after all. We will just have to wait and see.
