It looks like Ninja Kiwi, developer of Bloons TD 6, wants to end the year on a high note with the release of Update v34.0. This patch is now available on all supported platforms.
Bloons TD 6 is an interesting tower defense game because players can upgrade bloons via crosspathing. This essentially means that players can purchase upgrades from two separate paths, allowing them to create interesting and unique builds.
Having said that, the Mortar Monkey’s 502 and 205 upgrades needed some buffs since the recent rework to this tower has significantly devalued these crosspaths. As a result, 502 The Biggest One’s damage over time (DoT) is increased from 25 to 45. Additionally, the 205 Blooncineration’s DoT damage against MOAB-class bloons is increased from 100 to 150.
While the Mortar Monkey’s crosspath upgrades enjoy some buffs to their DoT damage, the Ice Monkey’s pierce stat is nerfed down to 30; the xx3 Cryo Cannon’s pierce value is reduced to 20 as well. According to the company, this tower’s base pierce was just too high, which made it very easy for players to counter strong bloons early on.
