Developer Ninja Kiwi released Update 1.7 recently, which is considered the last content patch for Bloons TD Battles 2 this year. One of the highlights of Update 1.7 is Pat Fusty, the new hero ready to smash enemy bloons to bits.
Meet the New Hero, Pat Fusty
Pat Fusty is the latest hero added in Bloons TD Battles 2. He costs $800 to deploy on the battlefield and he possesses two notable abilities, Rallying Roar and Big Squeeze.
Rallying Roar is a Level 3 ability where Pat and all towers within the 30-radius area gain a single-point damage increase. This effect lasts for eight seconds and has a pretty long 45-second cooldown. Although it takes a while before it can be used again, this ability gives players a much-needed boost to eliminate dangerous bloons, especially at the beginning.
At Level 10, Pat can truly showcase his size as he unlocks his Big Squeeze ability. This skill prompts Pat to grab and squeeze the strongest non-BAD blimp within 35 radius for several seconds, destroying its upper layer in the process. The “children” bloons get stunned for two seconds and cannot attack for five seconds. What’s more, this ability only has a 20-second cooldown, so players who use BTD2’s newest hero can use it quite often in a single game.
If the game lasts long enough, Big Squeeze gets an upgrade at Level 20 where Pat can squeeze up to four blimps at once.
New Rewards System
Update 1.7 also marks the beginning of Season 9, the first to use the game’s new rewards system. So, what changed? Instead of using Monkey Money, players can now get Bling or cosmetic items in Bloons TD Battles 2 using Golden Bananas by completing quests. The new reward track contains all of the Bling items for this season, as well as two new hero showcases.
It is important to note that there's only a limited number of quests that non-VIP users can accomplish each day. Players who have a VIP subscription to BTD2 can complete as many quests as they want, though. Additionally, they receive twice as many Golden Bananas.
Aside from that, there are 12 new cosmetics added in this patch, including the Football BFB skin, Angelic Bloon Boost, and Hieroglyphics avatar, among others.
New Features
- New Season Rewards System
- Visit the Season screen to view your current quests and your progress along the reward track.
- Your bling collection can now be accessed via the icon on the right of the main screen or via your profile.
- VIP Private Matches
- VIPs can now create private matches using rules from special events.
- Currently, this includes Random Quad, Play with Fire, and Speed Battles with more events due to be added in the future.
- VIPs who create private matches with special rules can invite non-VIPs to play in them.
Bloons TD Battles 2 Update 1.7 is available on Android, iOS, and PC.
