Brawlhalla is introducing Magyar to the fight. The Spectral Guardian joins the battle bringing his greatsword and hammer. That’s not all as he also arrives in the game with three new skins.
Who is Magyar exactly? According to stories, Magyar was a member of the Strazci, a group of 100 elite knights in Batavia. These knights were all slain by dragons and in a desperate attempt, the king used an unholy relic to raise them from the dead. The effect of this magic was for each knight that was defeated, their spirit would join and strengthen another knight that remained. This was the pattern until eventually only Magyar was left.

For those who are curious, Magyar’s stats are:
- Strength: 5
- Dexterity: 4
- Defense: 9
- Speed: 4
As previously mentioned, he joins the game with three new skins, which are:
- Golden Gladiator Magyar
- Phantom of the Armor Magyar
- Pharaoh King Magyar
The thing though is that the skins aren’t free and need to be purchased over at Malhalla.
Brawl of the Week
The last featured Brawl was all about snow. This time, it’s all about bubbles. In this 3v3 Bubble Tag Game Mode, players have to strike their opponents to capture them in bubbles. Capturing the entire enemy team gives your team one point and the first team to reach five points wins.
It’s not that easy, however, since players captured in bubbles can dash away from opponents or to their teammates. Teammates can free bubble teammates by simply tagging them.
New Features
Magyar arrives in the game with Patch 5.02. But the update also includes new experiences with Dodge, last Jump cloud, and even Wall Touch cloud effects. The patch even updated the Gravity Cancel and Out of Recovery visual effects. Indeed, these should bring new eye candy for everyone.
Changes in the Game
So, what else has changed? Mako’s been nerfed a bit. His Side and Down Greatsword has been decreased. While his total recovery time for Down Katars is increased.
Jaeyun has been slightly nerfed as well. The recovery time for his Side Sword got raised but for his Force, it was decreased.
