Breath of the Wild may be the latest and greatest of the Zelda franchise, but there's always an Easter egg that tips a hat to Zelda titles from the past. Case in point, there's a Dark Link armor set hidden within Breath of the Wild. In the game, the Dark Link costume increases Link's movement speed at night. Here's how you can find it:
Zelda fans will know Dark Link is basically a dark reflection of Link and is the hero's most challenging enemy. It makes sense, then, that the Dark armor is also quite challenging to acquire. In order to get the Dark Link outfit, players must speak with a merchant named Kilton, who travels in a hot air balloon.

In order to find Kilton, you must finish a side quest called A Shady Customer. Begin the side quest by speaking to a guard named Hoz at the East Akkala Stable. He will ask you to return with a picture of Kilton to earn a reward. Head to the lake in Deep Akkala that is shaped like a skull. Wait until night as that is the only time Kilton will appear.
After you take the picture and return to Hoz, Kilton will start appearing around the world. Because of his hot air balloon, Kilton moves around quite a bit and prefers visiting bigger settlements around the map, including Hateno Village, Gerudo Town and Zora's Domain. His balloon with brightly colored makes Kilton easier to spot at night – travel to shrines near towns, find high ground, and look for the bright balloon.

If that doesn't already show he isn't your average merchant, Kilton doesn't accept rupees and only accepts mon – a currency he invented. The full Dark armor set will cost 3997 Mon, or 999 Mon each for the Dark Tunic and Dark Trousers, and 1999 Mon for the Dark Hood.
In order to earn enough mon, Link must kill hundreds of monsters for the parts they drop. Of course, you can quicken the grind by either taking down big Hinox bosses, which drop a decent amount of monster parts, or fight the Lynel. Obviously, these method are also tougher. Stick with the Moblins and Bokoblins if you're having trouble.
