'Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3’: Here’s When The Salvation DLC Maps Release On Xbox One/PC

A new Call of Duty': Black Ops 3 trailer is now online but we're not sure the new clip was the best way for Activision and Treyarch to outline the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 story.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Salvation DLC is already available on PS4 and it’s coming to Xbox One and PC very soon. The game’s final map pack and zombies content drop will go live on Oct. 6. The details arrive courtesy of a blog post from the Call Of Duty experts at Charlie INTEL. A launch date for the maps appears beside a summary for each chunk of content.

Just like its PS4 counterpart, Salvation introduces four new multiplayer maps called Citadel, Micro, Outlaw and Rapture. There are essentially two refreshed experiences and two totally new ones. Outlaw is a Wild West version of Black Ops 2 map, Standoff. Rapture, in contrast, is a futuristic steampunk spin on Outskirts from Call Of Duty: World At War. The layouts appear to be identical, but the new aesthetics should bring plenty of goofy style to the gunplay.

Equally as pleasantly strange are Citadel and Micro. The former takes players to an ancient medieval castle that’s worn by the passage of time. It’s a close quarters setting, so bring plenty of SMGs and shotguns to the battle. Those hoping for something bigger may be more interested in Micro. In this crazy locale, teams fight from the perspective of a well-stocked picnic table on a hot summer day. There’s lots of cover to hide behind, but the setting begs for a snack.

Of course, we can’t bring up Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 without mentioning Zombies mode too. As this is the final pack, season pass and standalone buyers will be able to fight their way through the last chapter of the trippy Origins narrative. Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo and Nikolai have one final face off with Doctor Monty, and it builds to a pretty sizable crescendo. Can the team’s immortal souls be saved after taking down the horde? There’s only one way to find out!

Like all other Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 packs, this one is free for season pass holders and $14.99 on its own. It’s also worth pointing out that the additional content will never be for sale on the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions of the game.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
