The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta for PC gamers is right around the corner. Don’t worry, as the beta will go live for everyone on October 17. The beta can also be accessed earlier for the players who have pre-ordered Black Ops Cold War or through the Twitch drop program.
Here’s a detailed guide on how to access the Black Ops Cold War beta through the Twitch drop program:
1. Link Battle.net account with Twitch
Remember, this step is compulsory. Players will not receive a drop unless the accounts are linked. Go to the Twitch website and under Twitch connections, there will be an option to add a Battle.net account. After completing this step, ensure the connection has been validated.
2. Watch streams with “Drops Enabled” in the Cold War section
This step could be a bit tricky, as users will have to watch streamers with “Drops Enabled” in their stream. Players will receive the drop after watching the stream for a minimum of four hours. Make sure the Twitch app stays active and the stream is unmuted or there could be issues with receiving the drops.
3. Join the beta
After watching streams for four hours, Twitch will notify users that they have received a drop. Then the user has to head to the Battle.net desktop app and install the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta.
