The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta currently being hosted on PSN will continue a little longer than originally scheduled, Activision and Infinity Ward announced over the weekend, following a massive influx of players on the second day of testing. Here’s everything we know about the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta extension so far.
On Sunday morning, Infinity Ward announced plans to extend the ongoing Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta by 24 hours. Originally scheduled to end at 10:00 a.m. (PDT) this morning, the multiplayer beta will now remain accessible until the same time on Tuesday. There’s no word on whether we can expect a similar extension for the next Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta, which begins next weekend, but it wouldn’t come as a shock since the second test will expand to include the Xbox One community, too.
News of the extension was included in an open letter, from Infinity Ward to the Call of Duty community, thanking fans for their support and explaining some of the reasons why the studio wanted to host the Infinite Warfare betas. Unsurprisingly, server stability is a big focus for the Call of Duty team. But fans can apparently expect to see a new matchmaking system debut in Infinite Warfare, too; one the studio hopes will deliver “the highest quality matches possible.”
