A small selection of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare footage, captured on the upcoming PS4 Pro hardware, was published by Sony this week. There’s nothing new for those who’re already knee deep in the latest shooter from Activision and Infinity Ward. But it does give us some idea of what to expect from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which was recently confirmed to render at 2160p on Sony’s latest hardware, when the PS4 Pro debuts this Friday.
There doesn’t appear to be any actual gameplay footage in the new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer, which instead blends snippets of cinematic footage from the game’s campaign. Those watching the trailer on older screens, meaning those without HDR support, might not notice any big differences at first, but the jump from 48fps to 60 should be noticeable regardless of platform. A 4K version of the new trailer isn’t currently available online, so fans who want to see the game rendered at 2160p, as Digital Foundry recently confirmed to be the case, will have to wait until the PS4 Pro release date to see any additional visual changes.
