Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare is seemingly getting a murderous new mission team called Blood Anvil, according to a recent teaser leak on YouTube. Watch the clip below for a sneak peek at what’s ahead.
We don’t know much about the team beyond what its leader, Commander Viktor Krushkin, says in the trailer, but luckily we’ve transcribed all of it for you.
So, here you are at last. Everything has led you to this. All the missions, all the killing brings you to us. But you are not Blood Anvil yet. You, have to prove yourself. With blood and fire. Be the best! Kill the most! Complete your missions without any questions and then we’ll see if you are truly...Blood Anvil. And I, Commander Viktor Krushkin… will be your judge. Get to work!
After that monologue, the digital background synonymous with the Infinite Warfare aesthetic briefly shows on screen. CharlieINTEL also features a set of red emblems that resemble the Soviet hammer and sickle.
Mission teams are a new addition to Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer. Combatants begin the game with an allegiance to the JTF Wolverines with three other possible options to unlock. Completing missions results in new calling cards, camos, emblems, Combat Rig customizations and prototype weapons that can be used in the online battlefield. You can grind out missions for multiple teams to earn the benefits.
While this leak definitely appears to be as genuine as the last DLC leak, there’s a lot we still don’t know about what it truly means. How soon will Blood Anvil be added to the game? Will this Mission Team be exclusive to season pass holders, or is it free DLC for everyone? We’ll have to wait for the official word from Infinity Ward to find out. However, considering the Sabotage DLC is expected to release later this month, we’d guess this leak may be related.
Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
