Last week, developer Raven Software launched the Haunting Event for Call of Duty: Warzone. The event includes the limited-time Ghosts of Verdansk mode that features a unique mechanic - bringing a new battle royale experience. That said, the developers have released a new update that implements some improvements to that game mode.
In Ghosts of Verdansk, there is a Fear meter that fills up slowly whenever you are on the battlefield. Once it reaches 50%, your Operator will start hallucinating and its ill effects will be more pronounced the higher the meter goes.
While there are some who are ok with the mechanic, there are others who do not like it. That is because when you reach insanity, you will get a lower field of view in addition to visual distortions.
There are Sacred Grounds found in different areas on the battlefield that you can use to cleanse yourself. However, its original implementation requires you to stay there for a relatively long period of time. This is likely something that you do not want to do, considering that it can be chaotic out there.
So, the developers improved the Sacred Ground in that its inherent fear reduction has been increased. This should keep you going faster than before.
Aside from improvements to the limited-time game mode, the devs also re-enabled the Iron Trials ‘84 in Private Matches. It seems that there were some issues that needed fixing, so for those who were clamoring for the feature to come back, just update your game immediately.
