Call Of Duty: WWII has another brand-new PC update just days after one arrived earlier this week. Here’s the full list of all minor bugs recently addressed in Sledgehammer’s official patch notes.
Thank you all for your patience as we continue to optimize the game for PC and enforce in-game security. We’d like to share an update with you on the changes we just pushed live:
- Fixed an issue where the Daily Login Reward popup was not showing up correctly after initially breaking the login streak.
- Fixed an issue where certain game modes were not counting towards objective wins
- Increased the time in which players can load back into the game lobby before timing out
- Security improvements
- Fixed an issue with entering the Headquarters after leaving the Store
- Additional fixes and improvements with the Quartermaster
There’s still more to come; we are not done yet! We hope this makes your experience on PC better. Please continue to stay tuned to Steam and our Twitter @SHGames for more updates.
While this particular update adds very little to the experience, it arrives just four days after a more substantial patch with fixes to address cheating, issues with leaderboards, server connection problems and weapon balance. However, while there’s a lot there when you put both recent WWII revisions together, PC players continue to experience frequent disconnects after matches conclude. Under those conditions, lost rank, lost XP and wasted time are very real sources of frustration.
If there’s one thing that can provide a little solace for the situation, it’s that Sledgehammer is definitely committed to making adjustments and improvements in the days and weeks ahead. The multiplayer Headquarters feature has finally returned to most platforms after it was completely offline for two weeks. Crippling server issues have been one of WWII’s biggest faults and the game’s development team is still working hard to right the ship.
The continued support from the dev team is an especially good thing for PC players, considering Call Of Duty: WWII appears to be one of the most popular franchise games on Steam in recent years. Shortly after launch on Nov. 3, the title boasted around 76,000 concurrent players in multiplayer and campaign combined. That number was last passed by Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 in 2012. In other words, while PC ports of Call Of Duty titles have taken a backseat to console versions for a while, Sledgehammer and Raven Software will work hard to keep that larger Steam audience happy.
Call Of Duty: WWII is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
