The latest Captain America: Civil War trailer sparked so many questions about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After Spider Man dropped in during the last millisecond of the trailer, excited die-hard fans have been itching for spoilers. The latest plot hint comes right from one of the recent Captain America Civil War trailers, but it’s not a exactly a happy spoiler.
Extremely detail-oriented Reddit user, Laffy Sapphy , spotted a gem. It looks like the Winter Soldier’s bionic arm is severed. Bucky Barnes is pictured just laying on the ground while Iron Man and Captain America duke it out nearby. One theory is that The Winter Soldier attempts to remove Iron Man’s arc reactor, and let’s just say it didn’t go well. It’s unclear of The Winter Soldier’s fate. While he looks fairly lifeless, we’ll have to wait for confirmation. But one thing is for sure, The Winter Soldier gets fucked up and he's not the only one. Iron Man’s #2, War Machine, isn’t looking good after a savage fall from the sky.

It wouldn't make sense for Bucky Barnes to die, and also wouldn’t be the first time in the MCU The Winter Soldier’s arm was disabled or needed repair. The Winter Soldier losing his arm is basically the same thing as Captain America losing his shield seeing they both are super soldiers with the same skillset. However, with all of this being said, Chris Evans and Joe Russo have warned fans many times to expect the unexpected in Civil War.
During an online Buzzfeed fan Q&A after the trailer dropped, Chris Evans and Joe Russo answered a few fan questions regarding the fate of the MCU. How will the events of Civil War affect the Avengers?
"They will change the dynamic FOREVER,” Evans responded. "There will be a long lasting fallout from the events of this movie. It will significantly alter the psychology of the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward,” Russo added.
How exactly will the MCU change? Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6.
