Drake’s Views From The 6 isn’t the only rap album on our radar this month anymore. If Esquire reporter Mat Miller heard correctly, Chance The Rapper will be releasing Acid Rap 2, dubbed third mixtape, in April. The Chicago emcee made dreams come true when he shouted out “third mixtape coming next month” during the launch party for SoundCloud Go in New York City March 31. Acid Rap, which made Chance The Rapper a household name, was released nearly 3 years ago.
Chance The Rapper has already given us a few songs from his third mixtape, including “ Angels ” feat. Saba and “ Somewhere in Paradise ” feat. Jeremih & R. Kelly, which released on Soundcloud with the hashtags #AcidRap and #ThirdMixtape. He has teased multiple snippets of other unnamed songs on Snapchat. Also catch Chance on Kanye West’s newest album, The Life of Pablo, with a killer verse on “Ultra Light Beam.”
At the request of many I will stop sharing _ snippets on snapchat _

Back in Feburary, Chance The Rapper took to Pharrell’s otherTONE Beats 1 Radio Show on Apple Music to announce he’ll actually be hosting a podcast of his own. While no new material was previewed on air, he apparently played the mixtape for the 10-time Grammy Award winning producer. Pharrell described the mixtape as “hard,” “fire hot,” and “next level.”
“But you know what you were playing us was like….white fire. It was fire hot. There was an element in there, maybe you want to talk about it or not, or leave it as a surprise. There was a very consistent element in it that I was applauding you and was like awe man that’s next level. Because it wasn’t heavy it was just hard,” Pharrell said.
@chancetherapper @Beats1 it better be about the #thirdmixtape otherwise I will take legal action

It’s unclear when Chance The Rapper’s radio show, Worldwide Chicago , will start streaming on Apple Music, but fans on Twitter speculate whether Acid Rap 2’s release and his Beats 1 Radio debut could be on the same day.
So @chancetherapper will release #thirdmixtape via his @AppleMusic @Beats1 show. You heard it here. #chance

Chance The Rapper’s last project was a collaboration with Lil B for Free Based Freestyles, which released in August. Just 3 months earlier, he dropped Surf with Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment. You can check out iDigitalTimes’ roundup of everything Chance has released since Surf here. Acid Rap, which released in April 2013, was Chance The Rapper's last solo project.
We can only hope Chance The Rapper will give us a more specific date to look forward to asap.
