Cities: Skylines will arrive on Xbox One consoles on April 21, according to an announcement from Paradox Interactive.
The Xbox One Edition brings Cities: Skylines along with the nightlife-focused expansion After Dark . Cities: Skylines – Xbox One Edition will retail for $39.99. It is available for pre-order now.
Cities: Skylines’ DLC expansions Snowfall and Natural Disasters aren't included in the Xbox release. There’s no word yet on whether or not console modding will be an option.
In other Cities: Skylines news, a new premium DLC called Mass Transit will bring a variety of new transportation modes including ferries, monorails, cable cars and blimps. It will be the fourth expansion pack for Cities Skylines , though no release date has been announced yet.
As with Cities: Skylines previous expansions, a free update will also be included. The free update is expected to include a few of the modding community’s best ideas, including a more robust public transportation budget, emergency vehicles taking priority on the road over cars and the ability to name roads.
Also, a free DLC called Pearls of the East celebrated the game’s recent milestone of 3.5 million copies sold, including a Chinese theme and three new buildings: the Shanghai Pearl Tower, a Panda Zoo and a Chinese Temple.
There is currently no news on whether or not Cities: Skylines will arrive on PlayStation 4. Citiies: Skylines is currently available for PC via Steam for $29.99.
