Funcom plans to reset its Conan Exiles servers this week, according to a new update on the game’s Steam page, but the next reset won’t be quite as devastating to player progress as most survival fans might expect. Your creations will absolutely disappear before week’s end. But rebuilding your favorite Conan Exiles creations should be much easier than it was the first time.
According to the Conan Exiles dev team, this week’s server wipe was scheduled to “ nullify the effects of recently fixed exploits ” and give new players a fair shake at establishing their own legacies. The wipe will arrive alongside a new patch for the game, which rebalances weapons and feats, scheduled to hit Conan Exiles later this week. Fortunately, this week’s server wipe won’t be as all-encompassing as the resets we’ve come to expect from Early Access titles. Funcom says your inventory will be wiped and any player-created structures will disappear; however, the Conan Exiles community will at least retain their current character level.
Obviously, the incoming server wipe only applies to official servers. Those who’ve been playing Conan Exiles on a third-party machine should check with their server host to see if a similar wipe will be coming down the pipeline. Many server providers tend to skip out on these sorts of events, when feasible, but it’s always possible that your preferred Conan Exiles server was heavily impacted by the recent spate of exploits.
Conan Exiles is currently available in Steam Early Access. The game will hit the Xbox One Game Preview program sometime later this year.
