The Crew 2’s latest update, Hot Shots is free-to-play from April 25 to April 28.
This is something to look forward to if you’ve been debating on getting a copy of game. You will be able to decide once you play the game for yourself in its limited time as a free title on Uplay. The Crew 2 is an action-packed open world racing game that gives you the freedom to roam around the recreated version of the United States. It is a sequel to The Crew, which was released in 2014.
The update, Hot Shots, aside from going free-to-play, brings back the Live Summit. It is a weekly PvE competition that has a course of nine activities.
The Live Summit’s nine activities will include:
- 3 skills
- 4 existing events revamped to fit the week’s theme
- 1 new event for an existing discipline
- 1 special event that mashes up an existing track/playground with vehicles from a different discipline
It has also brought in new customization items and 30+ in-game activities, including challenges and photo quests. There are also 20 new skills and the gameplay has been improved. New features allow players to scrap parts and use them to recalibrate other parts. Nav Ribbon from The Crew is also back to guide you on your trips and give you the edge that will help you win intense races. Ubisoft proudly says that this update is making history as Bugatti Divo arrives to The Crew 2 for the celebration of its 110th anniversary. This is the first time that the aforementioned car will be featured in any gaming platforms. It is now in the list of the six new elite vehicles that includes Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X 2014, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 2009, Lamborghini Egoista, Ferrari 488 Pista, and Acura NSX GT3.
Ubisoft promises a 70% discount for the game and a 50% discount for the season pass to all the players who decide to buy the game after testing it out on its free-to-play version this weekend. All the progress you have made will also be saved.
The Crew 2’s original price is $59.99 but if you decide to buy it after testing it out during the free-to-play period, you can get it for $17.99. It is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
