CD Projekt Red uploaded a new gameplay trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 that shows off how the game runs on the previous generation's Xbox One X and the next-gen Xbox Series X. Although fans already know that Cyberpunk 2077 will feature enhanced graphics on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, nobody knew the visual difference between the current-gen and the next-gen versions of the game until now.
However, the recent gameplay trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 gives us an idea of what to expect in terms of the visuals on next-gen consoles. Although the trailer was meant to showcase Cyberpunk 2077's impressive graphics, it also shows off many things about the game including combat, exploration, and some quests.
The gameplay trailer begins with Xbox One X footage that shows V getting to a car and driving through the streets of Night City. The game already looks impressive on the Xbox One X, but the next clip from the Xbox Series X reveals what ray tracing can do to the game. On the Xbox Series X, Cyberpunk 2077 looks spectacular with detailed reflections and deeper shadows thanks to the next-gen console's ray tracing capabilities.
Besides the visual showcase of Cyberpunk 2077, the trailer also has snippets of conversation between Johhny Silverhand, a.k.a. Keanu Reeves, and V. The trailer also gives us a look at how combat is going to feel in the game.
All in all, Cyberpunk 2077 looks pretty impressive on the Xbox Series X, but it doesn't look bad on the current-gen Xbox One X either. The only thing that players may miss out on the Xbox One X is ray tracing support, which is available on the Xbox Series X. Similar performance and visual fidelity is expected from the PS5 version of the game as well.
Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled to release on December 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.
