Netflix’s Daredevil Season 2 returns March 18. Following 2 official trailers, a few short teasers, and posters across social media, we now have a final look at The Punisher, Elektra, and Daredevil in action wearing their full get up. The clip shows each character in full costume with a mini fight scene at the very end mostly made up of recycled stills, and footage from past teasers and trailers.
Daredevil will face-off against Frank Castle, but The Punisher isn’t his only enemy. As Stick tells Daredevil in the second season 2 trailer, he’s also up against The Hand. From the looks of the trailers, Elektra will assist Daredevil in hunting down the Yakuza and The Hand’s order of mystical evil ninjas. The trailer also teases the tension between Daredevil and Elektra, which should prove to be quite an intriguing storyline. As a deadly assassin and former member of The Hand, Daredevil and Elektra values don’t exactly align.
It’s hard to believe Fisk won’t make an appearance in the second season, particularly because he hasn’t become the Kingpin, the leader of The Hand, quite yet. While Fisk is in jail for now, he is more than likely biding is time for revenge against Daredevil. Near the end of last season, we also met Stone, a colleague of Daredevil’s mentor, Stick. The two are both presumably members of The Chaste, a spinoff group that fights against The Hand.
The teasers also show some tension between Foggy and Murdoch. Unfortunately, Daredevil can’t make everyone happy and save Hell’s Kitchen at the same time. Jon Bernthal, who will portray The Punisher, said in a recent interview to expect raw violence, a lot of weapons, and dark, gritty storyline. Although all the trailers and clips have been extremely entertaining to watch, not much has been revealed about the specific plot. But seeing the Daredevil season 2 premiere is just less than a week away, we’ll just have to wait until March 18 at 3:00 a.m. EST. to find out.
