More than half a dozen new Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City screenshots are now available for perusal, a surprisingly quick follow-up to this week’s expansion announcement. The new images even include enemies and locations not seen in the Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City reveal trailer.
We already knew this would be a big week for Bandai Namco, following last week’s confirmation of an incoming Tekken 7 announcement, but few likely expected the company to unload a trailer for the second (and final) Dark Souls 3 expansion alongside the T7 news. Fortunately, for those not satiated by yesterday’s Ringed City reveal, a handful of new Dark Souls 3 screenshots have been released to give fans another look at the places and things we’ll encounter when the last bit of Dark Souls 3 post-launch content emerges in March.
New enemies will come in all shapes and sizes, when Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City hits PC and consoles, and if the current crop of screens is any indication we won’t be able to rely on a singular resistance (i.e. like cold resistance in Ashes of Ariandel ) in the next expansion. We’ll also be the first to admit some of these new Dark Souls 3 encounters are going to be real tests of the community’s patience. But that’s what we’re all here for, right?
For a closer look at Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City, take a few minutes to browse the image gallery at the top of the post and/or check out the announcement trailer that debuted earlier this week. Then head down to the comments section and let us know if you’re planning to pick up the second (and final) Dark Souls 3 expansion when it debuts later this year.
Dark Souls 3 is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game’s final expansion, The Ringed City , debuts March 28.
