The Waverider has a few empty seats and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is getting another fan-favorite from the DC Canon: Vixen. But she won't be played by Megalyn Echikunwoke, who made a cameo on Arrow this season and currently voices Vixen on CW’s animated web series of the same name.

The Vixen on Legends will be a past version of the Justice League hero. Also known as Mari McCabe, Vixen is able to replicate the abilities of any animal who has ever walked the earth. The source of her mystical abilities are from a family relic passed down from generation to generation. Echikunwoke is reportedly too busy to hold a recurring role on Legends.

Vixen came all the way from Detroit using her animalistic prowess to help Arrow take down Damien Darhk back in February. Echikunwoke will continue to voice Vixen in The CW Seed’s animated series, but the door is reportedly always open for her to make another cameo as the present version of Mari McCabe. Fun Fact: In the traditional Flashpoint timeline (that we’ll see in live action when The Flash picks back up for Season 3), Vixen and Oliver Queen have a daughter together.

Legends showrunner Marc Guggenheim has warned fans to expect a lot more DC characters to join Rip Hunter’s Waverider team. Who else would you like to see? Sound off in the comments below!
