Developer Behaviour Interactive has some massive plans for the January update. Dead by Daylight players should feel positive about this new update, because the dev team completely reworked the HUD and added scaling features to the UI.
The Clown: Gameplay Update
The clown is one of the killers that will receive a change in the upcoming mid-chapter. Afterpiece Antidote is a new throwable item that releases a yellow gas after it shatters. The antidote can help you move faster, but thrown poorly will also speed up the Survivor. You can use this bottle to bait the Survivors into consuming the bottle and then kill them while they are lured into the trap. Also, the new item can cure the effects of the Afterpiece Tonic. So use the antidote carefully.
HUD Update
The in-game HUD is receiving a major rework, but it will be clean, and easy to access for both new and old players. The new HUD comes with features like Character Portraits, Hook Counter and Progress, and UI Scale Options.
The new character portraits will come with their names on the side of the picture, making it easier for players to differentiate between all characters. Next to the character name is the hook counter to understand how many times you have been hooked to prevent dying.
Some players might find the UI either too small or too big, so the dev team added an option to scale the UI according to players' comfort. Streamers have another special layout for adding their webcam to the side of the screen, which is pretty neat when you are watching the stream.
Graphics Update
The next realms receiving a graphics update are the Gideon Meat Plant and the Crotus Prenn Asylum. Check out the details here.
