Dead by Daylight: Patch 5.6.0 PTB Introduces The Onryō and Yoichi Asakawa

Sadako, the popular horror character from The Ring franchise, now brings terror and pain in Dead by Daylight. Patch 5.6.0 is now available on the PTB and aside from Sadako, it also introduces a new survivor, Yoichi Asakawa. Read further to learn more.

Sadako (or the Onryō in-game) is the latest killer in Dead by Daylight. For her to attack the survivors, she must physically manifest herself by pressing and holding the Power button. Shortly after manifesting, she’ll be intermittently visible to any survivor within 32 meters. After a brief period, she is fully visible for as long as she remains in the physical realm.

Just like in the movies, Sadako can take material form by projecting herself while looking at a powered TV. In doing so, the TV will shut off and all survivors within 16 meters gain “Condemned” progress. Those with a full Condemned bar can be killed when downed.

In addition, a brilliant marine biologist who gained interest in the supernatural when his parents died from a curse, Yoichi Asakawa, is the latest survivor in the game. He has some pretty useful perks. For instance, Empathic Connection allows injured survivors to see his presence when he’s within 32 to 96 meters. This also allows him to heal other survivors 10% faster.

• Fixed an issue that caused survivors to keep breathing loudly when stopping to open a chest after running
