The Deadpool movie is rated-R, but there were some offensive jokes even the creators of the film weren’t comfortable seeing in the movie. ComicBook.com reports Deadpool director Tim Miller admitted the editing proccess was particularly difficult for this film during an fan event in L.A. and that he had no choice but to cut scenes from the Deadpool movie.

There was one particular scene Miller and Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds wrote that didn’t translate well on screen. Miller assured fans they committed to Deadpool’s sense of humor in the script, but they still needed someone to make sure the scenes were actually funny. Deadpool producer Simon Kinberg wasn’t afraid to call out Miller’s work.

"That bar scene was particularly mean and offensive to a lot of people because T.J. and Ryan got together and wrote a version of the scene that we just said, 'Oh my God, this is too far,’” Kinberg said. “I mean there were so many people offended it would have really been - we couldn't do it. It was just mean and so I said, 'No. We don't have to do that.'”

Miller and Reynolds admitted the particular bar scene Kinberg mentioned was as bad as he claimed it was. There are other scenes that didn’t make the cut, but Deadpool fans will get to see them in DVD extras once the film is out. Those lucky enough to already have seen the film are praising the Marvel/FOX film on Twitter. Check out some of the feedback on social here.

Deadpool comes out in theaters Feb. 12.
